With a baby on the way and the challenges brought by his new role as Superintendent, Lucio Vella struggles to keep everything together. Things start to get complex when a man from his childhood village dies, leaving behind a cryptic clue which unsettles Lucio even more. The more he tries to put the pieces back together, the more distorted his memories become. Determined to find out the truth about what really happened, he dives headfirst into an investigation which will take him back to his past. As he navigates through it, he starts unravelling new truths, and old wounds start resurfacing. Will he be able to find the strength to pull through, or will the pain hold him captive?
