The Paperblanks Blue Velvet Mini Lined Journal blends compact convenience with historical elegance. In the Mini format, this journal measures 90mm in width, 140mm in height and 16mm in depth, making it perfectly sized for pockets, handbags and everyday carry. Inside, it offers 176 lined pages printed on 85gsm custom designed laid paper, with 19 lines per page and a 6.60mm line spacing that supports clear and comfortable handwriting.

Crafted with a durable hardcover, this edition features decorative printed cover paper, thoughtfully paired with 100% recycled binder boards and acid free, FSC certified text paper. The Smyth sewn binding allows the journal to open flat for smooth writing across both pages. Additional practical features include an elastic band closure, a memento pouch for keepsakes and one ribbon marker for page saving.

The Blue Velvet design is inspired by a luxurious velvet panel from a late 15th century Italian dalmatic, a ceremonial garment associated with European royalty and ecclesiastical traditions. Velvet, then considered a work of art in itself, was produced by the great weaving centres of Florence, Venice and Genoa. The original textile, once owned by Hungarian art collector Marczell Nemes and later acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, features a seven lobed shield motif outlined with teardrop forms and filled with an ornate botanical shape
